From Melilla I wanted to fly to Gibraltar. The problem was Melilla had no fuel and neither did the airport of Gibraltar. As a result I changed my flight plan to Jerez in Spain. I landed at Jerez with barely the legal minimum of fuel since the headwinds were again very strong. After about two hours of paperwork and refuelling I set off for Lanzarote - about 5,5 hours of flight over the sea. I landed there at about 8 p.m. into a very strong gusting wind.
