There are many historical places reminding us of WWII in Europe and Asia. Visiting them is always a great excitement for me. I therefore included them in some of my flight itineraries. One of the most interesting was the visit to the D-Day Landing Beaches. I have flown there twice, the second flight as a part of my return from the trip to Canary Islands and Madeira. In the history section of this website you can find a video made during the second trip. Here are some photos from the beaches and also photos made during our flight over Hamburg which suffered devastating Allied bombing raids during WWII.
